MONEXA BILLING RELEASES

Monexa Billing v5_28 Monexa’s August release focused on advanced capabilities in the payments virtual terminal and access to account level information

Going forward Users will now be able to see the date and time of an Account update. These times are listed in the 24 hour clock UTC format (HH:MM:SS).

Note: There are several ‘Days’ fields that can be used to set up a letter sending schedule. These fields must be filled in sequential order. For example: 0, 7, 14, not: 7, 0, 14.

Clear Accounts Outstanding Balance on Cancellation

Monexa Billing v5_24 Monexa’s January release focused on advanced capabilities in the payments virtual terminal and access to account level information

Advanced Virtual Terminal Billing Functionality

Enhanced Account Level Information Access

In addition to having our own payment Gateway, Monexa supports CyberSource, Authorize.net, E-Xact, Internet Secure, Redfin, PayPal and our latest addition Voltage Pay.

Choose When to Bill a Contract Renewal

Monexa clients can now set up a configurable contract renewal billing date in advance of the actual contract renewal date.

Some big changes in 5_22 are making PCI Compliance easier for our customers

The easiest PCI Compliant Subscription Checkout!
Monexa Billing adds a Silent Order Post service.

Monexa Billing has always enabled our customers to host their checkout pages on our PCI Compliant infrastructure. Typically, the storefront web interface would be hosted by our customer. Upon entering the checkout, the buyer would be directed to a set of checkout pages to collect payment information, hosted by Monexa.

Now, our customers can keep all of their storefront pages, including the checkout, under their control. This allows look and feel or workflow changes to be made without any interaction with Monexa. A simple "Silent Order Post" is made to Monexa Billing from the checkout page ensuring all PCI sensitive data is sent directly to Monexa and never touches our customer's hands.

The easiest PCI Compliant Subscription Checkout!
Payment Information tokenization

Use Monexa Billing to store customer payment information like credit cards.Monexa Billing will take card of calculating and transacting all recurring charges.

Even better, use our tokenization feature to transact one-time purchases against the customer's stored payment information and stay PCI Compliant.

Merchant Account Routing

Our merchant account routing just got better. Why do you need to route payments to multiple merchant acocunts?

  • International payments: route to the payment processor and merchant account you get the best rate with.
  • Payment Type: Many customers route visa and American express payments through different payment processors and into different merchant accounts.
  • Product type: For even more flexibility you can now manage which payment processor to use for any given transaction. Great for routing purchases to the correct merchant account based on the fraud profile of the product or service.

Monexa Billing supports the Redfin Network Payment Gateway

Another payment processing option for our customers. In addition to all the major gateways, Monexa Billing now supports Redfin.

Release 5_20 focused on features to improve the ease of use for some of our larger customers.

Automatically distribute your product catalog throughout your reseller hierarchy!

Monexa Billing has always had strong support for managing white-labelled and reseller billing. With the latest release you can automatically share your product catalog through your resellers and across sales reporting regions. Our enterprise customers will find this drastically reduces their management of the product catalog.

Monexa Billing user interface - not just a prettier face

Our UI Team has been hard at work this release. Long term Monexa customers were excited when we launched our new Google GWT based AJAX user interface in 2009. This release has improvements in general look and feel as well as some usability improvements allowing you to jump straight to common tasks from accounts and subscribers.

More Paypal gateway support for subscription billing

Last release we added Paypal as a supported gateway. This time we've broadened the support to allow the processing of credit cards through the paypal gateway allowing you to take payments from non Paypal members into your paypal account. We also support refunds through Paypal. This is a great feature for our smaller clients who don't yet have a traditional merchant account and want to get started with Monexa Billing.

Manage your subscription product catalog offline!

Our larger customers have been asking for a way to manage their product catalog offline and upload it when they are ready. Our API has always supported this but now we allow you to manually upload a CSV version of your price sheets when you want to make bulk changes.

Release 5_18 focused on adding Paypal support and improving the accessibility of manual billing functions for many of our accounting and billing operations users.

PayPal as a Payment Method

In addition to credit cards, electronic checks and other traditional payment methods, Monexa supports PayPal as one of the possible methods of payment for recurring charges.

Detailed Billing History Directly From the Accounts Tab

New to the Accounts tab is an Account History section that contains a summary of changes made to the Account. This section is divided into folders, each for a specified time period, starting from today and going back up to one in year in the past.

Add Invoice Line Items directly from the Billing Tab

An Invoice Line Item is a detail record on an Invoice pertaining to a charge or credit. New to the Monexa Billing Tab for v05_18 is the ability for Administrators to manually enter Invoice Line Items to an upcoming invoice for an Account.

Upload service usage manually directly from the Billing Tab.

The Add Usage Data screen will allow an Administrator to manually enter Service Usage data to an Account or a Subscriber. Service Usage data is the raw data used by the rating engine that calculates usage charges.

Release 5_16 focused on rolling out our new Monexa Billing SOAP Web Service and moving some billing operations features to a new, more accessible tab on the user interface.

Performance and Navigation Upgrades

In an effort to enhance the performance of the Monexa API and Interface, several commands have been optimized. These enhancements will be most noticeable in the
overall page rendering of the Monexa Billing interface as well as in the creation or updating of Account or Subscriber via the API.

New Billing Tab

Many of the manual payment operations functions we previously located on the Monexa Billing setup tab. With the introduction of the Billing tab, access to these common operational functions are now much easier to access for our operations focused users.

Improved Account status reporting

We've added an earliest amount owing date field to the account page. This allows reporting on the date on which any account began carrying an outstanding balance. We have also move the contract minimum field into the Billing Details section in order to more easily accomodate minimum contract values.

New Balance Owing notifications and letters

We've added two new events to Monexa's email notifications. You can now automatically notify customers after a configurable number of days of carrying an outstanding balance. There are a side range of configuration options for this feature described in the Monexa Billing manual and release notes.

New SOAP Web Service

Monexa Billing now has a brand new SOAP Web Service in addition to our extensive XML API. This will make it easier for clients that are used to using SOAP based integrations to connect to Monexa Billing programmatically.

Release 5_14 focused on improving the usability of our Price Sheets feature introduced in the previous release as well as adding more flexibility to our subscriber email notification features.

Price Sheets: Cloning Sheets and Setting Default Sheets

You can now clone negotiated pricing sheets across price books for a given service. Once cloned, you can change the contract term, billing frequency or currency before saving. You can also specify a default price sheet eliminating the need to select a price sheet manually when creating a new subscriber.

Monexa Billing User Interface Roles

Monexa Billing clients were excited when we introduced our brand new Google Web Toolkit (GWT) based management user interface in 2009. The move from our older interface to the new one is virtually complete now that all of our fine grained role support has been moved to the new UI. You can now control at a fine grained level which features and visibility different users have access to when logging into the user interface. This capability has always been available in the older UI and in the API.

Improvement to Email Notifications

We improved the flexbility of our leading email notification capability. You can now control the from address of these notifications based on the reseller relationship to the customer. We've also updated our conditional email syntax.
